“Peace” They Say When There Is No Peace

October 18, 2007

“They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace.”
Jer 6:14

Page 15 of the Ulama’s letter contains more deceptions. [Emphasis added.]

Finding common ground between Muslims and Christians is not simply a matter for polite ecumenical dialogue between selected religious leaders. Christianity and Islam are the largest and second largest religions in the world and in history. Christians and Muslims reportedly make up over a third and over a fifth of humanity respectively. Together they make up more than 55% of the world’s population, making the relationship
between these two religious communities the most important factor in contributing to meaningful peace around the world. If Muslims and Christians are not at peace, the world  cannot be at peace. With the terrible weaponry of the modern world; with Muslims and Christians intertwined everywhere as never before, no side can unilaterally win a conflict between more than half of the world’s inhabitants. Thus our common future is at stake. The very survival of the world itself is perhaps at stake. And to those who nevertheless relish conflict and destruction for their own sake or reckon that ultimately they stand to gain through them, we say that our very eternal souls are all also at stake if we fail to sincerely make every effort to make peace and come together in harmony. God says in the Holy Qur’an: Lo! God enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed (Al Nahl, 16:90). Jesus Christ  said: Blessed are the peacemakers ….(Matthew 5:9), and also: For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? (Matthew 16:26).
So let our differences not cause hatred and strife between us. Let us vie with each other only in righteousness and good works. Let us respect each other, be fair, just and kind to another and live in sincere peace, harmony and mutual goodwill.

  • If Muslims and Christians are not at peace, the world cannot be at peace.” What did Allah say about peace between Islam and Christianity?

9:29 Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. [The Order to fight People of the Scriptures until They give the Jizyah]

What did Muhammad say about that?

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:
    Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.’ And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah.” Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, “O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?” He replied, “Whoever says, ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah’, faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have.”

What does Fiqh (Islamic Law) say about that? (Reliance of the Traveler.)

    O-9.8: The Objectives of Jihad
The caliph (o-25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o-11.4) -which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled” (Koran 9.29)…

Did they not say, on Pages 6 & 7, that they should obey Allah? What did Allah say about suing for peace?

47:35. So be not weak and ask not for peace (from the enemies of Islâm), while you are having the upper hand. Allâh is with you, and will never decrease the reward of your good deeds.

What did  Muhammad say about abandoning Jihad?

Abu Dawud Book 23, Number 3455:

    Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:

I heard the Apostle of Allah, (peace_be_upon_him) say: When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.

  • no side can unilaterally win a conflict between more than half of the world’s inhabitants” What happened to their faith; don’t they believe Allah’s promises? What promises? I’ll let Ibn Kathir tell you.
  • And to those who nevertheless relish conflict and destruction for their own sake or reckon that ultimately they stand to gain through them, we say that our very eternal souls are all also at stake if we fail to sincerely make every effort to make peace and come together in harmony.” How can Muslims put their souls at risk?

2:195. And spend in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd of all kinds, etc.) and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth in the Cause of Allâh), and do good. Truly, Allâh loves Al-Muhsinûn (the good-doers).
(And spend in the cause of Allah and do not throw yourselves into destruction) “This is not about fighting. But about refraining from spending for the sake of Allah, in which case, one will be throwing his self into destruction.”   The Ayah (2:195) includes the order to spend in Allah’s cause, in the various areas and ways that involve obedience and drawing closer to Allah. It especially applies to spending in fighting the enemies and on what strengthens the Muslims against the enemy. Allah states that those who refrain from spending in this regard will face utter and certain demise and destruction, meaning those who acquire this habit.

Abu Dawud Book 14, Number 2506:
…Thereupon Allah, the Exalted, revealed, “And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your hands contribute to (your destruction)”. To put oneself into danger means that we stay in our property and commit ourselves to its improvement, and abandon fighting (i.e. jihad).

  • Jesus Christ  said: Blessed are the peacemakers ….(Matthew 5:9)”  But Allah said:  O Prophet (Muhammad)! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast persons amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are people who do not understand.[8:65] Wasn’t there something about being commanded to fight?
  • For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? (Matthew 16:26).” But Allah said: “They ask you (O Muhammad) about the spoils of war. Say: “The spoils are for Allâh and the Messenger.“…[8:1] and “Allâh has promised you abundant spoils that you will capture, and He has hastened for you this, and He has restrained the hands of men from you, that it may be a sign for the believers,…” [48:20] And Muhammad said: “The spoils of war were not made lawful for any people before us, This is because Allah saw our weakness and humility and made them lawful for us.” [Muslim Book 019, Number 4327] and …”while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand…“[Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220]
  • ” So let our differences not cause hatred and strife between us. Let us vie with each other only in righteousness and good works. Let us respect each other, be fair, just and kind to another and live in sincere peace, harmony and mutual goodwill.”
    • The strife is caused by Islam’s accursed doctrines, which sanctify and mandate conquest, terror & genocide.
      • 2:216 Jihâd (holy fighting in Allâh’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know.
      • 3:151 We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allâh, for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire and how evil is the abode of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers).
      • 8:12 (Remember) when your Lord inspired the angels, “Verily, I am with you, so keep firm those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes.
      • 8:39 And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.
      • 8:67 It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allâh desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
      • 9:29 Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

If the learned scholars of Islam genuinely desire peace, they have only one good option: apostasize and convert. Allah sanctified and mandated war. Allah’s word is final, because it is perfected [5:4, 11:1]  and can’t change [10:64, 30:30, 35:43].  There is no later revelation to abrogate 9:29. Since it was nearly the last to be revealed, it trumps the earlier, more tolerant & peaceful ayat. Muhammad’s Sunnah confirms it as documented above. How can you hope to undo 1384 years of Islamic history? You can’t edit the Qur’an, and  the resulting Fiqh is well established.

Will the Ulama now consult together, and in unison, rule the ayat which sanctify, mandate & promote Barbarism to be the work of Shaytan, not Allah and order them stricken & expunged and along with them, the interdependent Sunnah & Fiqh?  And if they will, will the Ummah al Islamiyya accept and enforce their ruling?

Or will peace come only when the last Muslim joins Muhammad in the Hellfire? The choice is yours, not ours, for only the aggressor can make real and lasting peace without requiring the extermination of the aggressor. Will you put away forever the weapons of war; forge your swords into plow shares and hitch up your oxen? If you will not abandon Jihad and the damnable doctrines which perpetuate it, you will leave the civilized world no choice but to usher you into the fire.

The Devil is in the Details

October 17, 2007

On Page 15 of the Ulama’s letter to Christianity, we find this:

Finally, as Muslims, and in obedience to the Holy Qur’an, we ask Christians to come together with us on the common essentials of our two religions … that we shall worship none but God, and that we shall ascribe no partner unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside God … (Aal ‘Imran, 3:64).
Let this common ground be the basis of all future interfaith dialogue between us, for our common ground is that on which hangs all the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 22:40). God says in the Holy Qur’an:
Say (O Muslims): We believe in God and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered. / And if they believe in the like of that which ye believe, then are they rightly guided. But if they turn away, then are they in schism, and God will suffice thee against them. He is the Hearer, the Knower. (Al-Baqarah, 2:136-137)

They preach to us about Common essentials;  and immediately demand that we profane Jesus Christ. Islam denies his deity, crucifixion, death and resurrection.  It is Christians who must abandon their faith; Islam does not compromise!

The next to last sentence of the quote from al-Baqarah conceals more than it reveals. “But  if they turn away , then are they in schism, and God will suffice thee against them. He is the Hearer, the Knower.”

  1. if they turn away” is a common expression in the Qur’an. How is it used? As a pretext for war.

Turn now to Ibn Kathir’s Tafsir.  Good News for the Believers of Eternal Delight

    (73. O Prophet! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell, — and worst indeed is that destination.) (74. They swear by Allah that they said nothing (bad), but really they said the word of disbelief, and they disbelieved after accepting Islam, and they resolved that (plot) which they were unable to carry out, and they could not find any cause to do so except that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His bounty. If then they repent, it will be better for them, but if they turn away; Allah will punish them with a painful torment in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. And there is none for them on earth as a protector or a helper.)

Threatening the Disbelievers with Torment in This Life and the Hereafter

(And I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute. As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.)

This is what Allah did to the Jews who disbelieved in `Isa and the Christians who went to the extreme over him. Allah tormented them in this life; they were killed, captured, and lost their wealth and kingdoms. Their torment in the Hereafter is even worse and more severe, …  ) (62. Verily, this is the true narrative, and there is no god except Allah. And indeed, Allah is the Almighty, the All-Wise.) (63. And if they turn away, then surely, Allah is All-Aware of those who do mischief.)

  2. God will suffice thee against them

Turn now to Ibn Kathir’s Tafsir.
Encouraging Believers to fight in Jihad; the Good News that a Few Muslims can overcome a Superior Enemy Force

Allah encourages His Prophet and the believers to fight and struggle against the enemy, and wage war against their forces. Allah affirms that He will suffice, aid, support, and help the believers against their enemies, even if their enemies are numerous and have sufficient supplies, while the believers are few. Allah said,

﴿يَـأَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِ﴾

(O Prophet! Urge the believers to fight), encouraged and called them to fight. The Messenger of Allah used to encourage the Companions to fight when they faced the enemy. On the day of Badr when the idolators came with their forces and supplies, he said to his Companions,

«قُومُوا إِلَى جَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَوَاتُ وَالْأَرْض»

(Get ready and march forth towards a Paradise as wide as the heavens and earth.)

`Umayr bin Al-Humam said, “As wide as the heavens and earth” The Messenger said,

«نَعَم»

(Yes) `Umayr said, “Excellent! Excellent!” The Messenger asked him,

«مَا يَحْمِلُكَ عَلَى قَوْلِكَ: بَخٍ بَخ»

(What makes you say, `Excellent! Excellent!’) He said, “The hope that I might be one of its dwellers.” The Prophet said,

«فَإِنَّكَ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا»

(You are one of its people.) Umayr went ahead, broke the scabbard of his sword, took some dates and started eating from them. He then threw the dates from his hand, saying, “Verily, if I lived until I finished eating these dates, then it is indeed a long life.” He went ahead, fought and was killed, may Allah be pleased with him.

Allah said next, commanding the believers and conveying good news to them,

(If there are twenty steadfast persons among you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons, they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve.)

Allah provides, suffices, and makes a Way out of Every Hardship for Those Who have Taqwa

Far from being an offer of peace, the letter is a demand for surrender.  While it is more subtle than Muhammad’s extortion letters, it is no less threatening.

Islamic Antagonism to Christianity

October 17, 2007

Page 15 of the Ulama’s letter raises the antagonism again in this quote; note the sentence I have highlighted.

Is Christianity necessarily against Muslims? In the Gospel Jesus Christ  says: He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters abroad. (Matthew 12:30)
For he who is not against us is on our side. (Mark 9:40) … for he who is not against us is on our side. (Luke 9:50) According to the Blessed Theophylact’sxxiii Explanation of the New Testament, these statements are not contradictions because the first statement (in the actual Greek text of the New Testament) refers to demons, whereas the second and third statements refer to people who recognised Jesus, but were not Christians. Muslims recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah, not in the same way Christians do (but Christians themselves anyway have never all agreed with each other on Jesus Christ’s  nature), but in the following way: …. the Messiah Jesus son of Mary is a Messenger of God and His Word which he cast unto Mary and a Spirit from Him…. (Al-Nisa’, 4:171). We therefore invite Christians to consider Muslims not against and thus with them, in accordance with Jesus Christ’s  words here.

To anyone familiar with Islamic doctrine, that sentence is an obvious deception.  What does Allah say about Jesus & his disciples?

  • 2:87 …We gave ‘Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear signs and supported him with Rûh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)]….
  • 2:136. Say (O Muslims), “We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ’il (Ishmael), Ishâque (Isaac), Ya’qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the twelve sons of Ya’qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsa (Moses) and ‘Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm).”
  • 2:253 …and to ‘Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), We gave clear proofs and evidences, and supported him with Rûh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)]. If Allâh had willed, succeeding generations would not have fought against each other, after clear Verses of Allâh had come to them, but they differed – some of them believed and others disbelieved. If Allâh had willed, they would not have fought against one another, but Allâh does what He likes.

According to the Qur’an, Allah gave Jesus signs and support And  Muslims believe what was given to Jesus.  Wars coming after Christ’s time were Allah’s will; would have been prevented by unanimity of belief..

  • 3:39 …”Allâh gives you glad tidings of Yahya (John), confirming (believing in) the Word from Allâh [i.e. the creation of ‘Iesa (Jesus), the Word from Allâh (“Be!” – and he was!)], noble, keeping away from sexual relations with women, a Prophet, from among the righteous.”

Sexual abstinence afforded Jesus nobility & righteousness.  How then is Muhammad, a rapist, with multiple wives, one of them married at age six and consummated at nine superior to Jesus?

  • 3:45 …”O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allâh gives you the glad tidings of a Word [“Be!” – and he was! i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allâh.”

3:46. “He will speak to the people in the cradle and in manhood, and he will be one of the righteous.”

  • 3:48. And He (Allâh) will teach him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] the Book and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah, the faultless speech of the Prophets, wisdom, etc.), (and) the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel).

3:49. And will make him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying): “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allâh’s Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allâh’s Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe.

3:50. And I have come confirming that which was before me of the Taurât (Torah), and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you, and I have come to you with a proof from your Lord. So fear Allâh and obey me.

3:51. Truly! Allâh is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (Alone). This is the Straight Path.

3:52. Then when ‘Iesa (Jesus) came to know of their disbelief, he said: “Who will be my helpers in Allâh’s Cause?” Al-Hawâriûn (the disciples) said: “We are the helpers of Allâh; we believe in Allâh, and bear witness that we are Muslims (i.e. we submit to Allâh).”

  • 3:55. And (remember) when Allâh said: “O ‘Iesa (Jesus)! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is Allâh’s son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allâh) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allâh, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad , ‘Iesa (Jesus), Mûsa (Moses), etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur’ân] till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute.”

3:56. “As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.”

Punishment in this world? How would that be administered? By military might, of course; that is Muhammad’s role.

  • 3:59 Verily, the likeness of ‘Iesa (Jesus) before Allâh is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: “Be!” – and he was.
  • 3:61. Then whoever disputes with you concerning him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] after (all this) knowledge that has come to you, [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus)] being a slave of Allâh, and having no share in Divinity) say: (O Muhammad ) “Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves – then we pray and invoke (sincerely) the Curse of Allâh upon those who lie.”

Allah commands Muhammad to invite the Christians to a cursing contest.  Allah suggests a negative confession of faith. What was it Christ taught about taking oaths?  Why is Allah contravening what he taught Jesus?

  • 3:63. And if they turn away (and do not accept these true proofs and evidences), then surely, Allâh is All-Aware of those who do mischief.

Turning away refers to rejecting Islam. Mischief is  punishable by death, crucifixion or amputation of hand and foot on opposite sides. Mischief includes simple disbelief. See To The Ulama: Hell NO!!!!!!!   for the details.

  • 3:64. Say (O Muhammad ): “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allâh, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allâh. Then, if they turn away, say: “Bear witness that we are Muslims.”

This ayeh has been dissected in To The Ulama: Hell NO!!!!!!!.

  • 3:65. O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you dispute about Ibrâhim (Abraham), while the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) were not revealed till after him? Have you then no sense?

A clear and obvious insult from Allah: calling us senseless.

  • 3:69. A party of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish to lead you astray. But they shall not lead astray anyone except themselves, and they perceive not.

3:70. O people of the Scripture! (Jews and Christians): “Why do you disbelieve in the Ayât of Allâh, [the Verses about Prophet Muhammad  present in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] while you (yourselves) bear witness (to their truth).”

Another insult: imputing cognitive dissonance.

  • 3:71. O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): “Why do you mix truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know?”

3:72. And a party of the people of the Scripture say: “Believe in the morning in that which is revealed to the believers (Muslims), and reject it at the end of the day, so that they may turn back.

Allah calls us liars and hypocrites.

  • 3:75. Among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) is he who, if entrusted with a Cantar (a great amount of wealth, etc.), will readily pay it back; and among them there is he who, if entrusted with a single silver coin, will not repay it unless you constantly stand demanding, because they say: “There is no blame on us to betray and take the properties of the illiterates (Arabs).” But they tell a lie against Allâh while they know it.

Allah calls us frauds & blasphemers.

  • 3:98. Say: “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayât of Allâh (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) while Allâh is Witness to what you do?”

3:99. Say: “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you stop those who have believed, from the Path of Allâh, seeking to make it seem crooked, while you (yourselves) are witnesses [to Muhammad  as a Messenger of Allâh and Islâm (Allâh’s Religion, i.e. to worship none but Him Alone)]? And Allâh is not unaware of what you do.”

We are witnesses of Jesus Christ, not Allah.  Allah is an ancient Arabian idol, not God.

  • 3:110 …And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fâsiqûn (disobedient to Allâh – and rebellious against Allâh’s Command).

3:111. They will do you no harm, barring a trifling annoyance; and if they fight against you, they will show you their backs, and they will not be helped.

3:112. Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men; they have drawn on themselves the Wrath of Allâh, and destruction is put over them. This is because they disbelieved in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh and killed the Prophets without right. This is because they disobeyed (Allâh) and used to transgress beyond bounds (in Allâh’s disobedience, crimes and sins).

3:113. Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allâh during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer.

3:114. They believe in Allâh and the Last Day; they enjoin Al-Ma’rûf (Islâmic Monotheism, and following Prophet Muhammad ) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and opposing Prophet Muhammad ); and they hasten in (all) good works; and they are among the righteous.

3:115. And whatever good they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allâh knows well those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2).

3:116. Surely, those who reject Faith (disbelieve in Muhammad  as being Allâh’s Prophet and in all that which he has brought from Allâh), neither their properties, nor their offspring will avail them aught against Allâh. They are the dwellers of the Fire, therein they will abide. (Tafsir AtTabarî, Vol. 4, Page 58).

3:117. The likeness of what they spend in this world is the likeness of a wind which is extremely cold; it struck the harvest of a people who did wrong aginst themselves and destroyed it, (i.e. the good deed of a person is only accepted if he is a monotheist and believes in all the Prophets of Allâh, including Christ and Muhammad ). Allâh wronged them not, but they wronged themselves.

These ayat are dissected in Islam: Not Against Us ?.

  • 4:157. And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh,” – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) ]:

4:158. But Allâh raised him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allâh is Ever AllPowerful, AllWise.

4:159. And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him [‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being], before his [‘Iesa (Jesus) or a Jew’s or a Christian’s] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he [‘Iesa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them.

Jesus was not crucified, killed nor resurrected. Yeah, right.

  • 4:171. O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allâh aught but the truth. The Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allâh and His Word, (“Be!” – and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in Allâh and His Messengers. Say not: “Three (trinity)!” Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allâh is (the only) One Ilâh (God), Glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allâh is AllSufficient as a Disposer of affairs

How does Allah dispose of affairs? He sends Muhammad with his army!

  •  5:46. And in their footsteps, We sent ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) , confirming the Taurât (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurât (Torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2).

5:47. Let the people of the Injeel (Gospel) judge by what Allâh has revealed therein. And whosoever does not judge by what Allâh has revealed (then) such (people) are the Fâsiqûn (the rebellious i.e. disobedient (of a lesser degree) to Allâh.

The Qur’an contravenes the Gospel, it does not confirm the Gospel.  5:47 labels us mischief makers, 5:33 informs us how those who make mischief should be punished.

  • 5:110. (Remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection). “O ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Remember My Favour to you and to your mother when I supported you with RûhulQudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)] so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you writing, AlHikmah (the power of understanding), the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel); and when you made out of the clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My Permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My Permission, and you healed those born blind, and the lepers by My Permission, and when you brought forth the dead by My Permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from you (when they resolved to kill you) since you came unto them with clear proofs, and the disbelievers among them said: ‘This is nothing but evident magic.’ ”

5:111. And when I (Allâh) put in the hearts of Al-Hawârîeen (the disciples) [of ‘Iesa (Jesus)] to believe in Me and My Messenger, they said: “We believe. And bear witness that we are Muslims.”

Show us where that malarkey is in the Holy Bible!!!

  • 5:112. (Remember) when Al-Hawârîûn (the disciples) said: “O ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Can your Lord send down to us a table spread (with food) from heaven?” ‘Iesa (Jesus) said: “Fear Allâh, if you are indeed believers.”

5:113. They said: “We wish to eat thereof and to be stronger in Faith, and to know that you have indeed told us the truth and that we ourselves be its witnesses.”

5:114. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: “O Allâh, our Lord! Send us from heaven a table spread (with food) that there may be for us – for the first and the last of us – a festival and a sign from You; and provide us sustenance, for You are the Best of sustainers.”

5:115. Allâh said: “I am going to send it down unto you, but if any of you after that disbelieves, then I will punish him with a torment such as I have not inflicted on anyone among (all) the ‘Alamîn (mankind and jinns).”

5:116. And (remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection): “O ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: ‘Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allâh?’ ” He will say: “Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my innerself though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the AllKnower of all that is hidden and unseen.

Clearly Muhammad was insane; he claimed to remember what had not yet come to pass.

  • 9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

9:30. And the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allâh, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allâh. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allâh’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!

9:31. They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allâh (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allâh), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilâh (God – Allâh) Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) . Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).”

9:32. They (the disbelievers, the Jews and the Christians) want to extinguish Allâh’s Light (with which Muhammad  has been sent – Islâmic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allâh will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kâfirûn (disbelievers) hate (it).

9:33. It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) hate (it).

9:29 commands Muslims to make war on us, conquer us and force us to submit to extortion. 9:30 curses us. The next to ayat are supporting pretext. 9:33 declares that Islam must be made superior: it must dominate the world. 9:29 tells us how that is to be done.   Can we know this and believe that Islam is not inimical to us? Can we be aware of these facts and not condemn Islam?

  • 19:30. “He [‘Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allâh, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;”

19:31. “And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salât (prayer), and Zakât, as long as I live.”

19:32. “And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest.

19:33. “And Salâm (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!”

19:34. Such is ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).
19:35. It befits not (the Majesty of) Allâh that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allâh, by saying that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allâh]. Glorified (and Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it, “Be!” and it is.

19:36. [‘Iesa (Jesus) said]: “And verily Allâh is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allâh’s Religion of Islâmic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets).” [Tafsir At-Tabarî]

19:37. Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about ‘Iesa (Jesus)], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allâh] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire).

19:38. How clearly will they (polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) see and hear, the Day when they will appear before Us! But the Zalimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) today are in plain error.

19:39. And warn them (O Muhammad ) of the Day of grief and regrets, when the case has been decided, while (now) they are in a state of carelessness, and they believe not.

19:40. Verily! We will inherit the earth and whatsoever is thereon. And to Us they all shall be returned,

Muslims will inherit the earth!! Do you have a clue what that means? The meek?  Then you are indeed a damned fool!  Muhammad claimed ownership of the entire earth. Muhammad claimed ownership of all the world’s treasure. Allah terrorized a Jewish settlement and caused Muhammad to “inherit” their property.  It means that Muslims intend to conquer and dispossess all non-Muslims!!! And they claim they ain’t our enemy. Yeah, right.

  • 61:6.  And (remember) when ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: “O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allâh unto you confirming the Taurât [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed . But when he (Ahmed i.e. Muhammad ) came to them with clear proofs, they said: “This is plain magic.”

61:7. And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allâh, while he is being invited to Islâm? And Allâh guides not the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers) folk.

61:8. They intend to put out the Light of Allâh (i.e. the religion of Islâm, this Qur’ân, and Prophet Muhammad ) with their mouths. But Allâh will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it).

61:9. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâmic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger Muhammed ) hate (it).

61:10. O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment.

61:11.  That you believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad ), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know!

61:12. (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwelling in Gardens of ‘Adn Eternity [‘Adn (Edn) Paradise], that is indeed the great success.

61:13. And also (He will give you) another (blessing) which you love, help from Allâh (against your enemies) and a near victory. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad ) to the believers.

61:14. O you who believe! Be you helpers (in the Cause) of Allâh as said ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), to AlHawârîûn (the disciples): “Who are my helpers (in the Cause) of Allâh?” AlHawârîeen (the disciples) said: “We are Allâh’s helpers” (i.e. we will strive in His Cause!). Then a group of the Children of Israel believed and a group disbelieved. So We gave power to those who believed against their enemies, and they became the uppermost.

61:10 is directly related to 9:111, go now and read it!  61:11 contains a key phrase: “strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with your wealth and your lives”. Lets view the context.

  • 4:74. Let those (believers) who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in the Cause of Allâh, and whoso fights in the Cause of Allâh, and is killed or gets victory, We shall bestow on him a great reward.
  • 4:76. Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allâh, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Tâghût (Satan, etc.). So fight you against the friends of Shaitân (Satan); Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Shaitân (Satan).
  • 4:95. Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame, etc.), and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with their wealth and their lives. Allâh has preferred in grades those who strive hard and fight with their wealth and their lives above those who sit (at home). Unto each, Allâh has promised good (Paradise), but Allâh has preferred those who strive hard and fight, above those who sit (at home) by a huge reward;
  • 9:19. Do you consider the providing of drinking water to the pilgrims and the maintenance of Al-Masjid-al-Harâm (at Makkah) as equal to the worth of those who believe in Allâh and the Last Day, and strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh? They are not equal before Allâh. And Allâh guides not those people who are the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers.
  • 9:41. March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allâh. This is better for you, if you but knew.

Allah sent Muhammad to make Islam victorious over Christianity and if a Muslim wants to avoid Hellfire he’ll strive hard against us with his wealth and his life.  The other ayat using those expressions make the meaning crystal clear.

61:12-13 promise great rewards to those who join the Jihad: victory in the present and the celestial bordello in the next world.
61:14 claims that Jesus led an army in battle. Where in the Gospels & Acts is that reported??

Allah and his messenger insult Jesus and his disciples. Allah and his messenger declared and are prosecuting war against us. And they want us to believe that they are not our enemies!

Islam: Not Agaisnt Us?

October 16, 2007

On page 14 of the letter, the authors quote 3:13-15. [Emphasis added.]

As Muslims, we say to Christians that we are not against them and that Islam is not against them—so long as they do not wage war against Muslims on account of their religion, oppress them and drive them out of their homes, (in accordance with the verse of the Holy Qur’an [Al-Mumtahinah, 60:8] quoted above). Moreover, God says in the Holy Qur’an:  They are not all alike. Of the People of the Scripture there is a staunch community who recite the revelations of God in the night season, falling  prostrate (before Him). / They believe in God and the Last Day, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency, and vie one with another in good works. These are of the righteous. / And whatever good they do, nothing will be rejected of them. God is Aware of those who ward off (evil). (Aal-‘Imran, 3:113-115)

It is not possible that the ayat refer to us, since we believe in the deity of  Jesus. Lets examine the context.

  • 3:110. You [true believers in Islâmic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad  and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma’rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden), and you believe in Allâh. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fâsiqûn (disobedient to Allâh – and rebellious against Allâh’s Command).

3:114. They believe in Allâh and the Last Day; they enjoin Al-Ma’rûf (Islâmic Monotheism, and following Prophet Muhammad) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and opposing Prophet Muhammad); and they hasten in (all) good works; and they are among the righteous.

3:117. The likeness of what they spend in this world is the likeness of a wind which is extremely cold; it struck the harvest of a people who did wrong aginst themselves and destroyed it, (i.e. the good deed of a person is only accepted if he is a monotheist and believes in all the Prophets of Allâh, including Christ and Muhammad). Allâh wronged them not, but they wronged themselves.

3:118. O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitânah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand.

3:119. Lo! You are the ones who love them but they love you not, and you believe in all the Scriptures [i.e. you believe in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), while they disbelieve in your Book, the Qur’ân]. And when they meet you, they say, “We believe”. But when they are alone, they bite the tips of their fingers at you in rage. Say: “Perish in your rage. Certainly, Allâh knows what is in the breasts (all the secrets).”

3:120. If a good befalls you, it grieves them, but if some evil overtakes you, they rejoice at it. But if you remain patient and become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2), not the least harm will their cunning do to you. Surely, Allâh surrounds all that they do.

3:121. And (remember) when you (Muhammad) left your household in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle (of Uhud). And Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

3:122. When two parties from among you were about to lose heart, but Allâh was their Walî (Supporter and Protector). And in Allâh should the believers put their trust.

3:123. And Allâh has already made you victorious at Badr, when you were a weak little force. So fear Allâh much [abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden and love Allâh much, perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained] that you may be grateful.

3:124. (Remember) when you (Muhammad) said to the believers, “Is it not enough for you that your Lord (Allâh) should help you with three thousand angels; sent down?”

3:125. “Yes, if you hold on to patience and piety, and the enemy comes rushing at you; your Lord will help you with five thousand angels having marks (of distinction).”

3:126. Allâh made it not but as a message of good news for you and as an assurance to your hearts. And there is no victory except from Allâh, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

3:127. That He might cut off a part of those who disbelieve, or expose them to infamy, so that they retire frustrated.

Ok, we are alright so long as we do not make war on Muslims, right? And some of us are faithful to Allah and have no worries about the afterlife. Yeah, wrong!!! Islam practices kitman!  The Ulama have practiced it in their letter wherein they lie by obfuscation, selectively quoting the Qur’an.  As proof whereof I have supplied the immediate context  of the cited ayat.  Lets dig a little deeper.

  • You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma’rûf  and forbid Al-Munkar and you believe in Allâh.  Muhammad’s audience were great guys; remember that the Qur’an was recited in his Mosque, the revelations were part of his Qutbah. So they enjoin good and forbid evil, ain’t that sweet? What does this ayeh really mean?  Muhammad told us already, but we weren’t listening. Now is the time to read his words and take them to heart.

Sahih Bukhari  Volume 6, Book 60, Number 80:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Verse:–“You (true Muslims) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind.” means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them with chains on their necks till they embrace Islam.

Do you believe it? Why in Hell not?! Ignorant and recalcitrant readers require more proof. I am willing to supply corroborating evidence; are you willing to receive it?  Virtues of the Ummah of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, the Best Nation Ever  Ibn Kathir declares the hadith hassan. Its about capturing people in war and putting chains on their necks. How kind and loving is Islam!!!

  •  And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fâsiqûn  So most of us are rebels against Allah to be wared upon.
  • They will do you no harm, barring a trifling annoyance; and if they fight against you, they will show you their backs, and they will not be helped. Oh, we won’t make war on Muslims, drive them off their land, etc? and we will be easy prey. Yeah, right.
  • Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men; they have drawn on themselves the Wrath of Allâh, and destruction is put over them. We don’t obey Allah, so we must be humiliated and destroyed. So much for the Islamic hand of peace!

Bukhari  Ch 61 # 2756: …It is mentioned from Ibn ‘Umar from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, “My provision has been placed under the shadow of my spear, and abasement and humility have been placed on the one who disobeys my command.

Muhammad plainly declared that he got his living by his spear and he would punish anyone who does not obey his command. Can you relate “abasement and humility”  in this hadith to  indignity and destruction in 3:112,  the ayeh immediately preceding the ayeh quoted by the Ulama?  And they accuse us of taking ayat out of context!

  • 113…115 are discussing the righteous minority.
  • 116 says we have no defender and will finish in the fire. The Good News that Muslims will Dominate the People of the Book
  • Read of 117 in the Tafsir linked above, it fits in with 116.
  • 118 forbids taking us as advisors, friends, etc. Muslims must be in positions of superiority over Kuffar.
  • 119-120  continue the theme of 117.
  • 121…125  give us a hint of the real relationship between  Muslim & Kuffar; Predator :: Prey. The Reason Behind the Battle of Uhud
  • there is no victory except from Allâh, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
  • That He might cut off a part of those who disbelieve, or expose them to infamy, so that they retire frustrated.  126-127 fit right in with 111-112.

Love Your Neighbor or Fight your Neighbor?

October 15, 2007

At the bottom of Page 8 the New Testament is quoted.

Likewise, in the New Testament, when Jesus Christ, the Messiah , is asked about the Greatest Commandment, he answers :
But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. / Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, / “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” / Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with
all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ / This is the first and greatest commandment. / And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ / On these two commandments hang all the
Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:34-40)

The Ulama continues addressing the greatest commandment, then on Page 11, they get around to addressing the command to  love your neighbor.

There are numerous injunctions in Islam about the necessity and paramount importance of love for—and mercy towards—the neighbour. Love of the neighbour is an essential and integral part of faith in God and love of God because in Islam without love of the neighbour there is no true faith in God and no righteousness. The Prophet Muhammad  said: “None of you has faith until you love for your brother what you love
for yourself.”xviiiAnd: “None of you has faith until you love for your neighbour what you
love for yourself.”xix  However, empathy and sympathy for the neighbour—and even formal prayers—
are not enough. They must be accompanied by generosity and self-sacrifice. God says in the Holy Qur’an:
It is not righteousness that ye turn your facesxx to the East and the West; but righteous is he who believe th in God and the Last Day and the angels and the Scripture and the prophets; and giveth wealth, for love of Him, to kinsfolk and to orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and to those who ask, and to set slaves free; and observeth proper worship and payeth the  poor-due. And those who keep their treaty when they make one, and the patient in tribulation and adversity and time of stress. Such are they who are sincere. Such are the pious. (Al-Baqarah 2:177) And also:  Ye will not attain unto righteousness until ye expend of that which ye love.  And whatsoever ye expend, God is Aware thereof. (Aal ‘Imran, 3:92) Without giving the neighbour what we ourselves love, we do not truly love God or the neighbour.

The two references given are to ahadith, not the Qur’an. If neighborly love is so important to Allah, it should be in the Qur’an, since the Qur’an confirms the Gospel.  A search of the Hilali & Khan translation turned up no matches for “love your”. A search of all ten translations available at http://quranbrowser.com likewise came up empty.    With this fact in mind, lets examine the two ayat quoted above.

2:177. It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allâh, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allâh, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives his wealth, in spite of love for it, to the kinsfolk, to the orphans, and to Al-Masâkin (the poor), and to the wayfarer, and to those who ask, and to set slaves free, performs As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and gives the Zakât, and who fulfill their covenant when they make it, and who are As-Sâbirin (the patient ones, etc.) in extreme poverty and ailment (disease) and at the time of fighting (during the battles). Such are the people of the truth and they are AlMuttaqûn (pious – see V.2:2).

That is charity, not  love; its about parting with your wealth.  Perhaps we’ll hit paydirt in  3:92.

3:92. By no means shall you attain Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, etc., it means here Allâh’s Reward, i.e. Paradise), unless you spend (in Allâh’s Cause) of that which you love; and whatever of good you spend, Allâh knows it well.

What is the meaning of spending in Allah’s cause? What has it to do with neighborly love?  Lets see how it is used in other ayat.  There are 90 matches to “spend in” and 12 of them are Surahs. (I use software that searches the Qur’an, Hadith & Tafsir as a unit.)

2:195. And spend in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd of all kinds, etc.) and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth in the Cause of Allâh), and do good. Truly, Allâh loves Al-Muhsinûn (the good-doers).

2:272. Not upon you (Muhammad ) is their guidance, but Allâh guides whom He wills. And whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, when you spend not except seeking Allâh’s Countenance. And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.

8:60. And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery, etc.) to threaten the enemy of Allâh and your enemy, and others besides whom, you may not know but whom Allâh does know. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allâh shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjustly.  [In a previous post I reproduced the Yusuf Ali translation, we need a little variety.]

Before calling me a fool and a liar, click the link within 2:95 above and read the Tafsir of that verse; contemplate the explanation of throwing yourself into destruction!!!

Fight Them!

October 15, 2007

On Page 6 we find another excellent quotation from the Surah Surah 9 of the Qur’an.

Through fear of God, the actions, might and strength of Muslims should be totally devoted to God. God says in the Holy Qur’an:
…[A]nd know that God is with those who fear Him. (Al-Tawbah, 9:36) ….
O ye who believe! What aileth you that when it is said unto you: Go forth in the way of God, ye are bowed down to the ground with heaviness. Take ye pleasure in the life of the world rather than in the Hereafter ? The comfort of the life of the world is but little in the Hereafter. / If ye go not forth He will afflict you with a painful doom, and will choose instead of you a folk other than you. Ye cannot harm Him at all. God is Able to do all things. (Al-Tawbah, 9:38-39)

How are might and strength used? And they should be totally devoted to Allah. For what purpose?  Got a clue what might precede the ellipses?  What did Allah command Muslims to do and to whom? Why not examine the context?

9:34. O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder (them) from the Way of Allâh (i.e. Allâh’s Religion of Islâmic Monotheism). And those who hoard up gold and silver [Al-Kanz: the money, the Zakât of which has not been paid], and spend it not in the Way of Allâh, -announce unto them a painful torment.

9:35. On the Day when that (Al-Kanz: money, gold and silver, etc., the Zakât of which has not been paid) will be heated in the Fire of Hell and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, (and it will be said unto them):-“This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what you used to hoard.”

9:36. Verily, the number of months with Allâh is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allâh on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred, (i.e. the 1st, the 7th, the 11th and the 12th months of the Islâmic calendar). That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein, and fight against the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) collectively , as they fight against you collectively. But know that Allâh is with those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2).

9:37. The postponing (of a Sacred Month) is indeed an addition to disbelief: thereby the disbelievers are led astray, for they make it lawful one year and forbid it another year in order to adjust the number of months forbidden by Allâh, and make such forbidden ones lawful. The evil of their deeds seems pleasing to them. And Allâh guides not the people, who disbelieve.

9:38. O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd) you cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter.

9:39. If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allâh is Able to do all things.

I will take these verses on one at a time. This will be long , but worthwhile.

  • 9:29   is linked to Pickthal, Shakir & Yusuf Ali above and to Hilali & Khan in this line so that you can compare translations and see that the translator does not make much difference. “Fight against those” is pretty obvious on its face; a command to make war. On whom? “people of the Scripture”  means  those who had the Gospels or Torah, extended to other scriptural religions to include Samaritans & Zoroastrians.  Atheists,  isolators  & those without scriptures are under another dispensation: 8:39  and must be converted or killed. Four tests are applied conjunctively to qualified persons. The tests amount to rejection of Islam. The war continues until the subject persons are subdued and pay a special tax imposed only on conquered non-Muslims.   This ayeh is the basis of an important ruling of  Sharia quoted below. Reliance of the Traveler does not have named anchors; use the Ctrl F key  combination to invoke Windows Search, keyword: Jihad.

    O-9.8: The Objectives of Jihad
The caliph (o-25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o-11.4) -which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High, “Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled” (Koran 9.29),

But it couldn’t possibly mean that! No and Hell No!!! Lets consult the experts, Allah and Muhammad; they know             their book better than we do.

3:7. It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad ) the Book (this Qur’ân). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkâm (commandments, etc.), Al-Farâ’id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)]; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allâh. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: “We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord.” And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabarî).
The Mutashabihat and Muhkamat Ayat
The Order to fight People of the Scriptures until They give the Jizyah

Now, in view of the obvious meaning of the text, 3:7 which says that Allah’s commands are clear, Fiqh, confirmation from hadith and Ibn Kathir’s tafsir, prove me wrong! Prove that I mistranslate! Prove that I twist scripture! Prove that I distort scripture! Prove that Islam is not under a demonic obligation to make war on us until we submit and pay extortion!  Where is your relevant, verifiable evidence???!!!

  • 9:31& 32 set up a pretext for punishing us as rebels against Allah.
  • 9:33 says that Muhammad is to make Islam superior– dominate the world inspite of our objections.
  • 9:34 & 35 set up more pretext.
  • 9:36 establishes  open season and repeats the command to fight.
  • 9:37 reinforces the seasonal rule.
  • 9:38 &39 reprimand the shirkers for not accompanying Muhammad on the ghazwat against Tabuk and threaten them with punishment.

The might and strength of the Muslims are to be used to conquer and subjugate us so that we’d live in a state of Dhimmitude, despised and humiliated as inferiors and subjected to extortion.  Why quote Surah 9 in the context of extending the hand of peace?  Evidently the believe we are not intelligent or diligent enough to look up the references.

A Common Word Between Us and You: Deception!

October 15, 2007

On Page 6 of the letter, we find this quote:

those who believe and do good works, the Infinitely Good will

appoint for them love. (Maryam, 19:96)

Ain’t that nice? Wonder what follows it? I know, now you will!

19:96. Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger (Muhammad)] and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Beneficent (Allâh) will bestow love for them (in the hearts of the believers).

19:97. So We have made this (the Qur’ân) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqûn (pious and righteous persons – See V.2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people.

19:98. And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Can you (O Muhammad) find a single one of them or hear even a whisper of them?

We? I thought Allah was alone, without partners!

God says in the Holy Qur’an:
… [A]nd fear God, and know that God is with the God-fearing. / Spend your wealth for the cause of God, and be not cast by your own hands to ruin; and do good. Lo! God loveth the virtuous. / …. (Al-Baqarah, 2:194-5)…[A]nd fear God, and know that God is severe in punishment. (Al-Baqarah, 2:196)

What does that mean?  “Spend your wealth for the cause of God”?  Charitable giving, or something less benign? Lets ask Ibn Kathir.  The Command to spend in the Cause of Allah

Aslam Abu `Imran said, “A man from among the Ansar broke enemy (Byzantine) lines in Constantinople (Istanbul). Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari was with us then. So some people said, `He is throwing himself to destruction.’ Abu Ayyub said, `We know this Ayah (2:195) better, for it was revealed about us, the Companions of Allah’s Messenger who participated in Jihad with him and aided and supported him. When Islam became strong, we, the Ansar, met and said to each other, `Allah has honored us by being the Companions of His Prophet and in supporting him until Islam became victorious and its following increased. We had before ignored the needs of our families, estates and children. Warfare has ceased, so let us go back to our families and children and attend to them.’ So this Ayah was revealed about us:

﴿وَأَنفِقُواْ فِى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلاَ تُلْقُواْ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ﴾

(And spend in the cause of Allah and do not throw yourselves into destruction.) the destruction refers to staying with our families and estates and abandoning Jihad’.”

What is the meaning of  “spend in the cause of Allah”?

  • 8:60 Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of God and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom God doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of God, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.

  • 47:35. So be not weak and ask not for peace (from the enemies of Islâm), while you are having the upper hand. Allâh is with you, and will never decrease the reward of your good deeds.

47:36.  The life of this world is but play and pastime, but if you believe (in the Oneness of Allâh Islâmic Monotheism), and fear Allâh, and avoid evil, He will grant you your wages, and will not ask you your wealth.

47:37. If He were to ask you of it, and press you, you would covetously withhold, and He will bring out all your (secret) ill-wills.

47:38. Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allâh, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his ownself. But Allâh is Rich (Free of all wants), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islâm and the obedience of Allâh), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes.

8:60  makes it crystal clear: spending in Allah’s cause is Jihad!!!  Take a good, clear eyed look at the context, then re-read the tafsir. ‘The destruction refers to staying with our families and estates and abandoning Jihad’. Jihad is spending, abandoning Jihad is niggardly!!!

“God is swift in punishment”?  Is jerked out of context, for 2:196 is about performing the Hajj ritual.  The learned scholars of Islam have torn ayat from context in order to camouflage their true meaning. 2:190…195 are about Jihad, supposedly against the Quraysh who drove Muhammad out of Mecca.  I will now display the relevant context and the translators notes from 190. Read this and weep!!!

  • 2:190. And fight in the Way of Allâh those who fight you, but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allâh likes not the transgressors. [This Verse is the first one that was revealed in connection with Jihâd, but it was supplemented by another (V.9:36)].

2:191. And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah is worse than killing. And fight not with them at Al-Masjid-al-Harâm (the sanctuary at Makkah), unless they (first) fight you there. But if they attack you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.

2:192. But if they cease, then Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

2:193. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allâh) and (all and every kind of) worship is for Allâh (Alone). But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zâlimûn (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)

2:194. The sacred month is for the sacred month, and for the prohibited things, there is the Law of Equality (Qisâs). Then whoever transgresses the prohibition against you, you transgress likewise against him. And fear Allâh, and know that Allâh is with Al-Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2) .

2:195. And spend in the Cause of Allâh (i.e. Jihâd of all kinds, etc.) and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth in the Cause of Allâh), and do good. Truly, Allâh loves Al-Muhsinûn (the good-doers).

(V.2:190) Al-Jihâd (holy fighting) in Allâh’s Cause (with full force of numbers and weaponry) is given the utmost importance in Islâm and is one of its pillar (on which it stands). By Jihâd Islâm is established, Allâh’s Word is made superior, (His Word being Lâ ilaha illallâh which means none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh), and His Religion (Islâm) is propagated. By abandoning Jihâd (may Allâh protect us from that) Islâm is destroyed and the Muslims fall into an inferior position; their honour is lost, their lands are stolen, their rule and authority vanish. Jihâd is an obligatory duty in Islâm on every Muslim, and he who tries to escape from this duty, or does not in his innermost heart wish to fulfil this duty, dies with one of the qualities of a hypocrite.
Narrated ‘Abdullâh bin Mas‘ûd رضي الله عنه: I asked Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم “O Allâh’s Messenger! What is the best deed?” He replied, “To offer the Salât (prayers) at their early fixed stated times.” I asked, “What is next in goodness?” He replied, “To be good and dutiful to your parents.” I further asked, “What is next in goodness?” He replied, “To participate in Jihâd in Allâh’s Cause.” I did not ask Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم anymore and if I had asked him more, he would have told me more. (Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.4, Hadîth No.41).

They’re pitching peace & love; dedication to God and delivering Jihad!!!
